I have been slowly trying to go green around here. I’ve been paying most attention to the amount of energy we use. Last year I had gotten a new shower head that shuts the water off after its heated, I can’t even imagine how many gallons of water I saved by switching to it. I have also been changing out my light bulbs to more energy efficient ones.
When I first received the Sylvania Halogen light bulbs I noticed right away on the box that it was a 60watt replacement using only 43watts. That’s a 28% difference. Also the shape of the light bulbs are the same as an ordinary bulb. Not those funky spiral looking tubes. When I turned the light on using the Halogen SuperSaver light bulb the light seemed much more natural and was still bright. These bulbs are mercury free and fully dimmable- which is my favorite part because most of my lamps are on dimmer switches.
