It's just easier. Maybe as my kids get older and stop taking ornaments off the tree we will get a real one. I love the look and smell of the real ones but with my little kids, fake is easier. the bottom of my tree is missing ornaments from my 20 month old, I could only image what a mess there would be if I had a real tree. I totally have a fake tree too -- its just easier to set up and keeps the house cleaner. And then I light a Yankee Candle in the Xmas tree scent so it fills the whole house with that tree smell! :) I think its fake — it looks too perfect to be real.
