I should have posted this the other day but here is my gripe for the week. I live in a condo that is on the third floor. No elevator but three flights of stairs. Imagine little ole me at 5’2″ and with about a dozen and a half bags of groceries struggling up and down all those stairs. Sure, I’ve mastered the art of hanging them all up and down my arms but even still….I can never get them all up in one trip. Never.
Forgive me if I sound desperate….but I am. I need to find an easier way to bring all my groceries in the house. By the time I get up the stairs with my first load I’m winded, thirsty, and achy. Yea, sure its pathetic but I’m okay with that. Looking at the stairs knowing I have to go down all three flights and then back up them again with heavy cargo (hey milk can be heavy), I want to throw myself down the stairs and hope I break something so I don’t have to do it.
If anybody out there knows a good product that I can use to put all my crap necessities in and lug up the stairs in one trip, please share it with me. I promise to love you and your blog for forever! I also understand that this knowledge may be secretive but I am willing to bargain. Seriously, I am that desperate, there must be an easier way.

The only thing I can recommend is the cloth bags they sell at Walmart or the grocery store… they hold a lot more than the average plastic bags…
plus they are good for the environment
Three words – Grocery Delivery Service!
Have you looked at the Mommy Hook? It is a serious lifesaver for us. But it would really depend how much stuff you were trying to carry at once.
When we lived in an upper apartment we always made more frequent trips to the grocery store instead of one big one so there were less bags.
i think it’s called a MAN !!! with big muscle arms….
maybe a hook on the end of rope Hunter done the bottom putting the bags on,and you at the window pulling them up.
does that help???
I’m 5’2″ also. I’ve seen those pull along cart things before loaded with shopping bags. But you won’t be cute anymore. You’ll be a little old bag lady. Weigh your options carefully.
Ummm how about wrigging some sort of back porch pulley system? get a basket, a rope, and see if you can have Hunter load from below while you pull – although that’d be pretty heavy too, sorry hon don’t know what else to suggest.
I have one of those old lady cart things but we also have an elevator.
Those giant blue bags you can buy at IKEA. They hold TONS and can be put on your shoulder. One for each arm, one trip, and you’ve gotten your groceries in and your workout for the day all in one fell swoop!
