Resolutions??

Its almost time for those New Years Resolutions.
Do you have any?
Do you really believe in them?
These questions were asked to me by someone at work today and it got me thinking. My answer was no…to both. I don’t make any resolutions because i know that after about 2 weeks i’ll completely forget about it. But thats just how i am. I don’t believe that we should resolve to better ourselves just because its a new year. I try to better myself whenever something happens in my life that makes me step back and re-evaluate things. I’m not judging people who do make resolutions…i think that’s great for them especially if they can stick with it. I understand people saying that its a New Year which means they want a fresh start.
But, i think if you’re not happy with yourself right now, why wait till the New Year?? You can have a fresh start every monday. Every day you rip off the calendar is a new day, fresh start.
This year especially, has been a HUGE growth year for me. I actually “found” myself again and i learned a lot about myself this year. But it was never a goal i intended to reach or any resolution i had made, it just happened. There was an incident last February that really helped me grow in so many ways, even though it was a terrible situation i really matured from it.
So, what are your thoughts on New Years Resolutions?

    Happy New Year!

I resolve not to make any resolutions that I can’t fulfill this year.

    which is most of them

    that’s how I feel….

LOL, I just posted about this on my Blog. I don’t necessary believe in resolutions either, but I feel like this is a year I need to have some. I have SO much going on in my life, and I just feel like I need to make some changes and feel like some resolutions are a good way to get them done. I need to find myself too. I’ve been dependent on other people for soo long and I need to start doing things for myself!

I’m all for trying to change for the better… but I agree with you… why wait until New Year’s to do so?

I’ve never been one to make resolutions… I’ve never really been one to say “this year I WILL lose 20 pounds”. But if I have a bad day or something, I will try and think “tomorrow is a new day, what can I do to make it a better one”

I typically don’t stick with them, so I’m not making any.

What I am doing this year, is really focusing on losing weight and getting in shape, to be healthy for my family.

I’m also working on de-cluttering! I want to really simplify our life…our home. I’m so tired of all the clutter. I also want to have a comfy home that is beautiful and inviting, no matter how small. Clutter is not beautiful and inviting! So I will be working on that.

    Happy New Year!
